I just found the perfect job. I mean it's not really
perfect, but it's different from all the jobs I've been applying so far. It basically puts me back on the path of applying to graduate school while getting useful research done. I'm really excited about it because last week's job fair was basically useless. I didn't get any closer to getting a job (no interviews), and it was a big, fat waste of time and energy.
Now I'm really worried about getting my hopes up about this research assistant position. I really want it to work out. But every single time this past year that I've gotten my hopes up and fantasized about my dreams actually coming true, it ended up turning into shit.
I really really really really really hope it works out.
